Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? The only other thing i considered was getting a USB hub and still connecting to my pc via USB but I dont know if the MIDI will work since its not coming through the interface.Īny help is much appreciated and thank you. I looked for USB B to MIDI (5 pin) cables but I could only find USB A to MIDI cables. At this point, I feel i may just have to buy a cheap 88 key controller to be able to work with MIDI and VSTs in Protools.

This worked well enough when plugging directly into my computer and working with other DAWs like Logic and FL studio, but the fast track pro interface needed for protools doesnt have any USB inputs. The midi connection on my keyboard requires a USB B male from the keyboard to a USB A male into the computer. I recently purchased pro tools M-powered, and realized I cannot get my keyboard's MIDI into my Fast track pro Interface. I owned a yamaha ypg 625 for the last 6 years, and considering i'm studying in audio engineering (particularly game audio and composition) i've done more and more with it over the years.
